Wendy TommCCSP®,Toronto Q. Everyone's definition of success is different; what does being successful mean to you?
A. Being successful to me is having a passion for what I do. Having the true passion for the work I do allows me to create beautiful things for clients and also allows me to find the positive in difficult and challenging situations. Success is finding the right balance between your job and your home life. I have a very successful career in staging as I am confident in what I do and each project is unique and enjoyable to me. My clients have always appreciated my efforts, hard work and finished products, so having happy clients and appreciative one makes it all very special and worthwhile. Q. What do you feel is you or your company's biggest achievement since taking the CSP Course?
A. Having a very successful first year and developing strong relationships with the realtors I work with. Q. What did you do before embarking on the life of a Certified Staging Professional?
A. I worked in the legal field for 24+ years as a corporate paralegal, legal department administrator and executive admin assistant for many corporate companies and their board of directors. Q. What did your friends or family think about your decision of starting a staging business?
A. They were encouraging and knew I would be great at it as I have always had a passion for staging and the real estate industry. Q. If you could give advice to someone considering entering the staging industry what would it be?
A.Take the CSP course and believe in yourself. Take the time and make the effort to meet with realtors and be persistent in delivering your message to them. Q. If you could give advice to a Certified Staging Professional who hasn't quite made it to "success" yet, what would you tell them?
A. Don’t give up. Go out there and market yourself and never stop learning about the industry you are in. Q. What would you tell a potential student as the BEST thing about being a CSP is?
