CSP® Home Stager Success Stories

"I am a SUCCESSFUL Certified Staging Professsional...

Jennifer Campbell
CCSP®, Calgary

Q. Everyone's definition of success is different; what does being successful mean to you?

A.Success to me is knowing I've made a difference in helping my clients quality of life while selling their home. I've had such wonderful feedback from my clients on how beautiful their staged homes are and how fast they sell. I get a warm fuzzy feeling at the end of each project.

Q. What do you feel is you or your company's biggest achievement since taking the CSP Course?

A.My last staged home in Panorama (Calgary) sold within 5 DOM (days on the market).

Q. What did you do before embarking on the life of a Certified Staging Professional?

A.Since 2000 I practised design work as a Graphic Designer. I loved the creativity I was able to express with colour, balance and harmony. However, sitting infront of a computer all day was taking it's toll on my body. In January 2010, I was given the opportunity to start a new career when the company I worked for went bankrupt. I enrolled in the CSP program in March 2010. In my spare time, I entertain my passion for DIY projects while renovating my 1977 bi-level home in Calgary with my family.

Q. What did your friends or family think about your decision of starting a staging business?

A.My friends and family were supportive of my decision... to my face. I heard through the grape vine many didn't think starting a home staging company was a good idea. To my knowledge I think they feel I made the right decision now.

Q. If you could give advice to someone considering entering the staging industry what would it be?

A.It takes time to build relationships and get a solid reputation in the real estate industry. Keep at it - if you are persistant and consistant with quality designs, you will be successful.

Q. If you could give advice to a Certified Staging Professional who hasn’t quite made it to "success" yet, what would you tell them?

A.Speak with as many people as you can - homeowners, realtors, family, friends. Educate them on the benefits of home staging - you never know who they know.

Q. What would you tell a potential student as the BEST thing about being a CSP is?

A The best thing about the CSP program is the community they've created and ongoing support. That support has made me confident and proud to say I'm a CSP.

Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of being a trainee in CSP’s intensive three-day staging training workshop with Nairn Friemann in New York City…

I don’t know where to start. It was a fantastic class; it was such a pleasure to meet Christine and Lynelle…It was a lot of information in 3 days! I am happy and thrilled that I took this class – Thanks to everbody for their help!! Sincerely, Mira B. Mississauga, ON

I am an alumni of Certified Staging Professional. I would like to express my thanks to Nairn Friemann (CSP® Instructor), and CSPI™ Business Training Academy taught at Purchase College, NY for the opportunity of partaking in their three day home staging course last year.

This year, I enrolled in the course again as a refresher, and …

I had heard great things about the organization by alumni as well as have had great discussions and assistance from Liz and Linda. They have always been there to answer any and all my questions, they are polite and super efficient…
