She holds degrees in foreign languages and cultures, secondary education and fine arts, which she studied at the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, on the French Riviera and at the Rhodec School of Interior Design.Françoise is a Certified Interior Redesign Industry Specialist, an Affiliate of the Interior Design Society and a member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association.

Born and raised in Provence, in the South of France, in a family of design enthusiasts, Françoise caught the “bug” in 6th grade, after the 200-year old Provence farmhouse her mother had nursed back to life was featured on local TV shows and in home magazines. Françoise dabbled in that field for years, assisting her mother and helping friends, neighbors and acquaintances decorate their living spaces, and showcase their investment properties, before taking the plunge and founding “Evans & Associates - Interiors & Staging” in Truckee, CA, which she now calls home.

Her work earned three awards at the 2006 International IRIS and SDP Conferences, and landed her the prestigious position of lead designer and property staging consultant at Mark Tanner Construction, one of the premier Lake Tahoe custom building firms. Françoise is well-known in the Lake Tahoe area for her decorating column published in the Sierra Sun and is frequently invited to share her home staging and design tips and wisdom, providing workshops and seminars for community groups, libraries, businesses and colleges in Europe and the United States.

She has made several guest appearances on “Sierra Lifestyles”, Lake Tahoe’s real estate and construction TV show, and is the design expert on the yearly “Mansions and Gardens of Alamos, Sonora, Mexico” tour, organized by Debby Larsen, editor of “Tucson Lifestyle Home & Garden”.
